I really like kickstarter. They give the opportunity for individuals and small groups to realize their dreams. The two projects I’m currently backing are Little city gardens (an organic farm in the mission) and a live cooking burlesque show about meat.

There are some pretty cool projects on the site (especially that one that’s being featured right now about bacon ) so definitely take a look around.
