About
Posted on 01/26/2009 11:57 pm by KarenBaconCamp is an ad-hoc gathering born from the desire for people to share and learn in an open environment about bacon. It is an intense event with discussions, demos and interaction from participants who are the main actors of the event. It is community driven and everyone is encouraged to participate by presenting (food, art, demo), judging, or volunteering. BaconCamp is not a spectator sport.
It was inspired by CupcakeCamp, which was in turn inspired by BarCamp.
BaconCamp is a community driven event, encouraging you to:
- share a bacon-y dish with others
- help organizers with tasks and supplies
- present your smiling happy face
- organize an event in your own area
This blog is intended for high level updates on the event, in case you’re not interested in reading through twiki pages. Please check out our FAQ for more details about the event and don’t forget to subscribe to the blog.
